Ben Smith

Ben Smith is the Co-Owner and founder of CrossFit Krypton and also serves as the Lead Programmer and Coach. Ben was an avid baseball player growing up and was introduced to CrossFit his senior in High School (2008). Since then, as a self instructed athlete, Ben has finished 1st place in the Mid-Atlantic Region 5 times and has 8 consecutive appearances at the CrossFit Games. One of the most successful CrossFitters of all time, Ben is one of only four men that have multiple podium finishes at the CrossFit Games. In 2015 Ben became the sixth man to earn the title of Fittest on Earth.
Ben’s personal philosophy is that through hard work and dedication anything is possible. He has found that anything worth doing in life should be done to the best of a person’s ability, and this includes CrossFit!
 
Adam Klink

Adam Klink is the Operations Manager and Head Coach at CrossFit Krypton. A premiere athlete his entire life, Adam was a tri-sport athlete at Great Bridge High School and received the NSCAA/ Adidas All-American award for soccer in 2008. Adam continued to excel at Rutgers University where he served as goalkeeper of the soccer team for 4 years, won the Rutgers Men’s Soccer Student Athlete of the Year award and graduated with a Sports Management degree in 2012. After graduation, Adam found a passion for CrossFit, qualifying for the Northeast Regional competition in 2013 and the Mid-Atlantic Regionals in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Adam continues to excel in CrossFit competitions across the country both as an individual and member of various sponsored teams, maintaining his quest to compete at the CrossFit Games.
Adam enjoys the challenges of CrossFit, both physical and mental. He loves the power of camaraderie and sportsmanship that embody the CrossFit community and the fact that Crossfit provides an opportunity for each individual to improve the quality of their life.

Alec Smith

Alec Smith is a gymnastics specialist, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and our Crossfit Kids program coordinator. Alec has competed in gymnastics since the age of 3 and was one of the best middle school gymnasts in the country. In addition to CrossFit, Alec coach’s the competitive boys team at Gymstrada Gymnastic in Virginia Beach and is finishing his college education at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. A multi-sport athlete throughout high school, Alec earned 12 varsity letters and was MVP of the Great Bridge swim/dive team three years in a row. A fierce CrossFit competitor, Alec qualified for the Mid-Atlantic Region competition the last three years, competing as an individual in 2013, 2015, 2016 and as a member of the CrossFit Krypton team in 2014. Alec’s gymnastics skill and barbell strength are also put to the test as a member of the Grid League’s Baltimore Anthem.
Alec’s outgoing personality and natural athleticism make him an ideal CrossFit instructor.  His philosophy is that only a life lived for others is a life worth while!

Christian Becker
-CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, CrossFit Level 1

Christian Becker is a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer and coordinates the beginners course for new members. Christian began his CrossFit journey just three short years ago.  While working as a server at a local pizza parlor Christian met Ben and was invited to try out a class.  Since then, Christian earned a Bachelors of Science in Education with a concentration in Exercise Science from Old Dominion University. Christian continued CrossFit throughout college and started training others during his senior year.  After graduation Christian became a full time trainer at CrossFit Krypton and increased his training volume.  Christian has competed alongside regional and games athletes earning podium finishes at multiple local events.
Christian’s current goals include qualifying for regionals as either an individual or member of a CrossFit Krypton team.

Ryan Sica

Ryan Sica is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and holds a degree in the Science of Food, Nutrition, and Exercise from Virginia Tech.  A competitive swimmer since the age of 5, Ryan swam the 100m breast and 100m freestyle at Great Bridge High School and became captain of the swim team his senior year. After finishing his high school swimming career, Ryan was introduced to CrossFit by Ben and Alec. The combination of high intensity exercise and his academic interests made CrossFit a perfect fit. Upon college graduation, Ryan returned to Krypton as a trainer and competed alongside Alec as part of CrossFit Krypton’s first regional team.
Ryan is currently a first year medical student at UVA. He hopes to combine CrossFit’s strong sense of community along with his own belief in the role of nutrition and exercise in health promotion into his future medical practice.


Dave Jones

Originally from Terre Haute, Indiana Dave grew up playing a variety of sports including football, baseball, soccer, and wrestling. Immediately after high school Dave joined the Navy where he served 21 years as a US Navy Diver. During his career Dave constantly sought out new and challenging workout regimens to supplement his training. After finding CrossFit in 2006 Dave completed his first Level 1 certification in 2008 and retested in 2011. Dave began training others in CrossFit while stationed at the Navy Dive school in Panama City, FL.  Since then, Dave has continued to grow as an athlete, winning several local team and individual competitions and climbing the Open leader board in the 40-44 Masters division.
Although Dave will continue to fight for a spot at the CrossFit Games, good health and striving for a better future remain his ultimate goal.  Fitness is truly a family affair for Dave, as his wife and four children are all active members of CrossFit Krypton.


Lindsey Jacoby

Lindsey Jacoby is a mother of 3, CrossFit Level 1 trainer and CrossFit Kids trainer. Lindsey grew up playing softball and then decided to start a family. In 2013 she started competing in local CrossFit events and earned a CrossFit Kids Certification. Her passion for CrossFit continued in 2015 where she earned a CrossFit Gymnastics Certification, and in only 3 years after starting CrossFit competitions she qualified for 2016 Atlantic Regional CrossFit competition held in Atlanta Georgia where she represented CrossFit Krypton.

Kelley Boblit
-CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and CrossFit Kids Certification

Kelley Boblit is a CrossFit Level 1 trainer and CrossFit Kids trainer. Kelley grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and competed in gymnastics from the ages of 3-13. In 7th grade Kelley started to play volleyball in school as well as for a Junior Olympics club team. In 2007, Kelley was voted Player of the Year in the Miami Valley Conference. She continued on to play volleyball in college at Trinity International University. Kelley found CrossFit in 2012 and has never looked back. She competed on a team in the 2015 Mid Atlantic Regionals and has continued to compete in local competitions. While earning her Masters in Special Education, Kelley loves to coach at CrossFit Krypton. She also loves coaching one-on-one with individuals of varying abilities who need extra support during classes and/or individualized training. Kelley loves the mental and physical challenges that CrossFit presents and loves the community that CrossFit provides.
